Hello and Welcome
I'm beginning this blog as a way to write down my processes in creating. If the pictures and descriptions of my process inspire you to create something using the same technique, let me know in the Contact tab or invite me to view on Instagram.. My crafting and creating journey began in 1989 when I created my first quilted item. The client I was consulting at allowed me to take classes with employees and I was introduced to Knitting Machines that used software to produce pattern graphs that were read by a "computer" attached to the machine to produce multi-color knits. This led to a friendship with a yarn store owner who introduced me to hand knitting. When I turned 40, I walked by a sewing machine doing cross stitch with no one nearby. I was fascinated and came home with my first Husqvarna Viking Sewing and Embroidery machine. I learned the software and was soon teaching monthly owner's classes. In the fall of 2018 I got the urge to learn crochet and crocheted almost non-stop for a year. At the same time I purchased a Silhouette die-cutting machine to cut applique pieces for quilting. A few hours on Youtube and I saw a series by Kristina Werner on handmade Christmas Cards. And I'm enjoying the paths this has taken me down, including watercolor painting, alcohol marker coloring, colored pencil coloring and Toner Foiling.
I've learned so much from so many talented and generous people along this journey and I hope to highlight the ways they inspire me as I create my blog posts.
Stay safe and Well.
